Not all rockers are created equal

1986 rocker arm side by side to an earlier production rocker casting. The earlier one seems to be beefier than the 86 which by the way broke as I was tightening adjuster. All the machined dimensions are however the same, except for one minor but serious difference. Notice in the photos how the oiler hole is 3 times larger on the early 4 casting, and the tiny oiling hole on the later 6 casting. I'm wondering if I use this mismatch of rockers if the one with the larger oil hole will hemorrhage more oil and starve the others being that they all feed from the same oil tube I think?

I know it's probably nothing to worry about but thought I would run it by a couple of the experts here. Also just for shits I'm going to weigh them out and see how much weight difference there is because the early beefier one just feels heavier.

The grooves and passages in the cam journals that are different between 1983-1984 and 1985-1986 heads. The early V65's use "4" rocker arms, while the 1985-1986 Magna, V65 Sabre, and VF1000 use the "6" rocker arms. The orifice size in the rocker arm was reduced to maintain more oil at the journal. You can use either style, but it is best as a matching set because the weight of the rocker is different too.

If an oil mod is installed, there is enough oil feeding the heads that all of the orifice and passage sizes are not as critical.
